Max Tate is the host of a paranormal investigation show on Prowl, a streaming channel dedicated to the unexplainable. He’s also a grouchy vegan who doesn’t do relationships but finds himself wildly attracted to the show’s new demonologist.

Arriving at The Canyon Hotel in a tiny Arizona town infamous for hauntings and murders finds Max discovering that ghosts are real. And so are demons. Like the one he’s unable to resist, Mister Demonologist himself, Sal Dukes.

As Max learns more about demons and himself, it’s getting harder to resist the pull of Sal in any form—demon or human—and Max might just be falling in… Maybe. It’s too soon to tell and Max knows he has enough baggage to fill an airport.

Then something or someone starts attacking the crew, hurting Max, and Sal is determined to rid the hotel of the demonic entity influencing all of the horrors. Will Max and Sal be able to combine forces to defeat a demon far more powerful than a lone duke of hell? Or will a little extra divinity not be enough to save them?

This novella has an enemies-to-lovers story with a grouchy ghost hunter and a very patient demon, some angst, a few unusual religious figures, and lots of divine moments of ecstasy with a HEA ending.
